Laokoon Security becomes a GmbH and moves to Bonn

Laokoon Security announced today that the company has changed its legal form from a UG (Unternehmergesellschaft) to a GmbH (Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung).

With this reorganisation, Laokoon Security aims to strengthen its position as a reliable and trustworthy partner for its customers and at the same time increase the opportunities for future growth.

Important: Nothing will change for existing customers - except the address!

We are now centrally located in Bonn, not far from Bonn's main railway station, and are proud to play an even more active role in shaping the cybersecurity environment in Bonn.

Change of corporate form

An eventful history

Laokoon Security was founded in 2016 as a GbR from a collective of hackers centred around the current Managing Director, Andreas Krüger. In 2019, the participants decided to found an entrepreneurial company (UG) and sharpen the company's profile as a provider of high-quality penetration tests.

The change of name to a limited company was a logical step to emphasise the company's steady growth to the outside world.

Moritz Samrock succeeds Marc Simon as shareholder

In addition, Moritz Samrock has taken over from Marc Simon as a partner at Laokoon Security. Moritz Samrock brings with him extensive experience in IT security and company management and will provide important impetus for the future development of Laokoon Security.

"We are delighted to welcome Moritz Samrock as a new partner at Laokoon Security. With his experience and expertise, we will be able to support our customers even better and further expand our position as a leading company in the field of IT security," says CEO Andreas Krüger.

Laokoon Security is committed to providing its customers with the best possible protection against cyber threats with advanced and reliable security solutions and will use the reorganisation and change of shareholder as an opportunity for further growth and success.
